The Steek Boa  - This scarf is designed to be a Stash-Buster for using up odd balls of yarn, and may also be a way of getting over your fear of actually cutting your knitting! 

This scarf won second prize in Simply Knitting magazine's 'Design a scarf' competition, and the pattern appeared in the July 2006 Issue.

Emily's Pointy Beret   - knitted in aran weight yarn with a crocheted edging.  The crochet instructions in the pattern are all in UK terms, but you can find a conversion to US here

Curly Whirly Scarf (crochet)   - made from Rowan Kidsilk Haze and edged with Rowan Kidsilk Spray.  All crochet terms given in the pattern are UK terms - you can find the US terms here

Moebius Scarf - an MLQKnits 'How-To'.  This particular version is knitted in Feza 'Premier'.  In case you would like to re-create this scarf for yourself, I cast on 110 stitches initially on 6.5mm needles, and changed from knit to purl (or from purl to knit) every time the yarn changed.

Rebecca's Furry Gilet   - I wrote this pattern for my niece Rebecca for Christmas.  She had recently learnt to knit, and coveted a furry gilet (waistcoat) that she had seen in a magazine.  The yarn they used was expensive, and the pattern was complicated, so when I found a cheaper substitute yarn, I wrote a set of instructions for a simpler gilet for her.
